Problem Statement
Caregivers Generally Face Problems of Isolation and Loneliness
Most of the existing online spaces are public and do not provide a secure environment for caregivers to exchange information and resources.
Solution
Constructing A Community Platform for Caregivers’ Informational and Social Needs
This project aims to meet the caregivers’ informational and social needs through the development of a safe and secure peer-to-peer online support ecosystem as well as improve their mobility with the inclusion of a mobile application. Together with AWWA, NTU will seek to:
- Understand the issues and information world of caregivers and explore drivers for building a resilient and competent online community;
- Adopt a structuration approach in developing and refining the platform based on users’ needs and feedback.
Outcomes
Caregivers will be able to connect more easily with other caregivers and experience greater psychological and emotional well-being.
